The lack of H1N1 vaccine has become increasingly frustrating for doctors, patients and the general public, particularly those with chronic illnesses. While some families have chosen against getting the vaccine, others are flooding doctors' offices with phone calls, standing in line for hours at public clinics and repeat-dialing county health departments, hoping to get answers.
"It is absolutely disgusting how this process is being handled," said Kuess, 32, of Evanston. "The (federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) and county health departments have put the public in a panic about getting vaccinated yet make it virtually impossible for anyone to access it."
He doesn't realize that the shortage has driven up the price...needed in response to the low deamnd.
