
While frustrations continue for thousands of Illinoisans eager to get the H1N1 flu vaccine, another population in the state began lining up for shots over the last two weeks: thousands of inmates in state prisons and local jails.
Penal authorities caution that inmates are not "jumping the queue" for vaccines that are in short supply. They say that carrying out prison and jail vaccinations is an important public health measure, given how quickly a virus can spread among the incarcerated and infect guards and others going back out into the community.
Protecting you and me....
yeah...... they have so much choice about getting in line, right. Once that prison budget hits the total skids, we'll see about choices.
