I found another article (linked below) saying that alpha-galactose is also present in dairy. Maybe that could be responsible for milk allergies (not intolerances)? I wonder why it's only present in mammalian meats and not in poultry or fish. I tried to read up some more, but everything else I've found is way too complicated for me to understand. XD
I went to school with a girl who was allergic to meat. I think she was allergic to milk, too, but I don't remember. She could eat salads and not much else. That would be torture for me!
