Here's the real reason why the issue of chicken contaminated with salmonella is almost never publicized: Because to expose the salmonella contamination of chicken would be to expose the sick, filthy and inhumane practices of the factory-farmed conventional chicken industry.

Apparently the FDA cannot seem to get it together to shut down a disgusting, sick, chicken factory farm.....and they want more power to do nothing? right....

since Egg producers are doing everything to make money, and not provide sanitary foods, 1000 sick people is too late and a dollar short on the FDA, they should have stepped in way was sooner and forced producers be more sanitary, and the technology exists, just big money greedy CEO's care more about taxes and bonus' than human and animal safety.
and the republicans say we need smaller Govt., actually we need smaller boards of directors, and govt inspectors with more authority.
