The United States is threatening nations who oppose Monsanto’s genetically modified (GM) crops with military-style trade wars, according to information obtained and released by the organization WikiLeaks. Nations like France, which have moved to ban one of Monsanto’s GM corn varieties, were requested to be ‘penalized’ by the United States for opposing Monsanto and genetically modified foods. The information reveals just how deep Monsanto’s roots have penetrated key positions within the United States government, with the cables reporting that many U.S. diplomats work directly for Monsanto.

Fearful of Genetically-Modified Crops? You’re Too Late FastCoExist
The era of the frankenfood is already here. If it turns out to be a devastating problem, it may be already too late. Take a look at your lunch today--corn syrup, anyone?--you've likely ingested some modified strands of corn DNA. How are you feeling? Better question: How will you be feeling in 50 years?
WikiLeaks: US targets EU over GM crops Guardian
The US embassy in Paris advised Washington to start a military-style trade war against any Euroxpean Union country which opposed genetically modified (GM) crops, newly released WikiLeaks cables show.
In response to moves by France to ban a Monsanto GM corn variety in late 2007, the ambassador, Craig Stapleton, a friend and business partner of former US president George Bush, asked Washington to penalise the EU and particularly countries which did not support the use of GM crops.

This is no suprise to anybody that pays attention to food in America. There is a long list of men\women that use to be higher ups at Monsanto now in positions of power in our government and more than likely those same people have something to do with the regulation of Monsanto. This whole GM veggie thing is bad. They can't seem to get their GM crops from cross pollunating with non-GM crops and it is up to the farmer to prevent it. But according to Monsanto there is no chance of some of their Frankenseed (which dies after one harvest) of cross pollunating the rest of our food supply. Can't wait until it does and leads to a crop shortage and with 95% of soy products now coming from Monsanto in some form, I don't see that being too far off. I don't believe them any further than I can throw them. France is doing the right thing by banning that GM garbage. They have even halted spending money on research to study the effects of GM food on people, their reason...why spend money when you can sit back and watch what happens to American children that eat GM food. Monsanto needs to be shut down.

If this is not enough reason to vote for Ron Pal I don't know what is. He is the only one concerned about this stuff.

How is a guy who runs on the platform of limited government and less intrusive government going to solve a federal problem of lax regulations on GM food?

By kicking out all the lobbyist and bureaucrats out of the departments that they dominate. By removing the straw that sucks up our tax money into these people's pockets.
This is the welfare he wants to end he thinks billionaires don't really need welfare.

OBAMA APPOINTS MONSANTO'S VICE PRESIDENT AS SENIOR ADVISOR TO THE COMMISSIONER AT THE FDA
Michael Taylor was just appointed senior advisor to the commissioner of the FDA. This is the same man that was in charge of FDA policy when GMO's were allowed into the US food supply without undergoing a single test to determine their safety. He "had been Monsanto's attorney before becoming policy chief at the FDA [and then] he became Monsanto's Vice President and chief lobbyist. This month [he] became the senior advisor to the commissioner of the FDA. He is now America's food safety czar
And here is another good reason to elect Ron Paul
