I do not have cancer but I do have chronic hepatitis c and the treatment that I went through did not only work but since I quit the treatment, it appears that its getting getting worse. I wish I had never underwent the treatment, it almost killed me. The hep c came from a hospital in Atlanta from blood transfusions from a broken tibia and the plate they put in me. Be careful with treatments please get second opinions. To be honest my treatment has made it much worse, such is life. peace some days I can handle it, other days are not very fun.

Toxic and ineffective medications are legal, but safe, natural and effective remedies like cannabis are not.

It seems that we (the other commenters here and I) are essentially on the same page. I went to the source article and read it along with many of the comments there. They almost unanimously condemned the medically prescribed treatments as being detrimental and basically useless. What was really interesting is that their chemical treatments seem to just "piss off the cancer" so that it would come back with a vengence and metastacize. For what it is worth herbal remedies have been part of medicine since people first began trying to fight infections and illness. Many Asian societies still rely very heavily on natural remedies even to the exclusion of modern medical techniques but most now opt for a mix of the two. In many cases these remedies are as effective if not more effective than the synthesized variants and have few if any side effects.

Now as cynical as it sounds herbal remedies being natural products found in nature cannot be patented by the pharmaceutical companies so they resist them and deny their efficacy in treating illnesses of any kind in favor of their artificial and/or synthesized products. When willow bark tea was found to be very effective as an analgesic and fever reducer the drug companies quickly analyzed it and came up with the formulation that we now know as aspirin. However since it was already in common use in its herbal variant it was considered public domain so they could not reap any unusual profits by claiming that they discovered it.

It appears that they learned that lesson well. They are now synthesizing the components of natural marijuana/cannabis with the blessing of the DEA and the FDA claiming that their synthetic variant is not a schedule one drug like its natural predecessor presently is. In other words if you need it you must pay through the nose for it or simply break the law and grow it or buy it from your local cartel recruit or local gang member. In some locations your local middle or high school kid can hook you up because being illegal there is no regulation or control on its sale beyond police enforcement and they simply cannot be on every street corner. Now I am not going to say that cannabis is the cure all for every illness known to mankind but I will say that it is showing signs of being a significant benefactor in many situations. A Spanish researcher has been able to shrink brain tumors in monkeys using an extract of this natural herb. An amateur in Canada has claimed some rather remarkable medical results in using an extract of the Indica variety of cannabis.

Even many household herbs found in your kitchen have some medicinal qualities and were used by midwives for years to treat everything from hives to heartburn. Today I don't know of many American citizens who know how to use herbs or household items like table salt, vinegar, or baking soda medicinally. Oregano extract is used to prevent colds for example when not being used to spice up your pizza or spaghetti dinner. Instead we have been conditioned by the pharmaceutical industry and even the household item manufacturers like Proctor & Gamble to go to the store and buy an over priced prepared item. I used to read a news paper column called "Hints From Heloise" in which the author documented every imaginable natural remedy for everything from bee stings to ink stains. Oddly I could seldom remember them because it was just so much easier to go to the store and get "Wham-O Magic Solution" to do the job for me. LOL

Frankly our government needs to get out of the business of legislating our personal habits as long as those personal habits pose no physical threats to other human beings. If you want to get smashed on booze or laid out with marijuana just don't drive a car or operate heavy and dangerous machinery. However if you have an illness and any of these various herbs can benefit you our government then absolutely has no right whatsoever to deny that to you. That is my opinion. I would not hesitate to break the law and obtain a full pound of top quality Indica cannabis to cook down into an extract to at least try the 30 day cure if I were ever diagnosed with some form of cancer. That 30 days would be worth the risk to me rather than endure the excruciating pain and dehumanizing disfiguring brutality of chemotherapy and radiation therapy treatments.

Lately I have begun to lose respect for the medical profession in general because, like our Congress, it has sold out in favor ofobscene profits and personal gains. Do a little research and I think that you will find that when your doctor sends you to a CAT SCAN or MRI center for a scan they are actually a part owner or at least an investor in that facility. I was sent for 3 very expensive scans over a period of less than 6 weeks. I felt that only one was needed but when I asked the doctor about it he got rather indignant and even raised his voice in a belligerent manner as if I had insulted him in some way. I later discovered that he owned both of the scanners and operated those facilities. I terminated my relationship with him forthwith.

For minor stuff like colds, flu, or sinusitus I just visit my friendly nurse practitioner at my local drug store quick clinic. Faster, cheaper, easier, and much more satisfying to me. For anything else I just go to the hospital ER for now. If I find a old fashioned doctor though I might hook up with them. LOL Doctors are not gods even though they tend to think that they are. Think for yourself and be choosy when you need medical care. It could save not only money but maybe even your life.

My sister-in-law died after 6 months of intensive chemo/radiation treatments. Cause of death? RADIATION BURNS which destroyed her heart - not cancer!
